Traveling Johannesburg up through South Africa towards Botswana border. Cross the border. Heading onwards towards city of Maun in Botswana where we stock up with food etc for the next 3 days we will spend out in the Okavango Delta. We cross over to the delta on Makoro Boats (traditional dugout canoe pushed along with a long pole) which takes 1.5 hours. Each Makoro carries the poler (standing with long pole at the back pushing us along), 2 passengers lying back on 1 backpack + sleeping bag per person. One other Makoro will take the supply of the groups tents, all food and cooking utensils which will last us for the next 3 days camping out in the vast, wild delta!
